Oscar Nominee SEPTEMBER 5 Paramount+, MGM+ Streaming Premiere Date Revealed

According to our sources, the Oscar nominated drama SEPTEMBER 5 is expected to make its SVOD debut later this month, arriving on Paramount+ and MGM+ on February 25th, 2025. The film world premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival before launching in US theaters in limited release on December 13th, 2024. It arrived on PVOD on February 4th, 2025.

September 5 is directed, co-produced, and co-written by Tim Fehlbaum. It stars Peter Sarsgaard, John Magaro, Ben Chaplin, and Leonie Benesch. Moritz Binder, Fehlbaum, and Alex David, who co-wrote the script, are nominated for the Best Original Screenplay Oscar.

In the film, during the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany, an American sports broadcasting team must adapt to live coverage the Israeli athletes being held hostage by a terrorist group.
